Salon Practices/Policies & Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a consultation before booking a service?
Yes, all new clients are required to book a New Client Consultation before scheduling any other services. This helps me get a full understanding of your hair’s current condition, loc history (or goals), and make sure we’re choosing the right service for your needs. During the consultation, I’ll assess your hair and scalp, answer any questions, and give you clear guidance on pricing, timing, and the maintenance journey ahead. Once that’s done, you’ll be approved to book your future services.
Do you accept walk-ins? What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
I work by appointment only, but walk-ins may be accepted if there’s a same-day cancellation or no-call/no-show — availability will be shared via social media when that happens.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, please do so at least 48 hours in advance to avoid forfeiting your deposit. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, the deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to rebook.
For no-call/no-shows, the full service will be charged and you may be blocked from booking in the future. Respecting time — yours and mine — keeps everything flowing smoothly 💫
Do I need to bring anything? What forms of payments do you accept? Do you offer payment plans?
You don’t need to bring anything unless instructed — I provide all the necessary products and tools for your service. If you have a product that’s been prescribed by a licensed dermatologist, you may bring it for me to use during your service. I do not use personal or over-the-counter products that haven’t been medically prescribed, to ensure consistency and care for your scalp. If hair or extensions are required, we’ll go over that during your consultation or pre-service convo.
I accept cash and card payments through my secure Square POS system. Your deposit must be paid online when booking, and the remaining balance can be paid in person via cash or card at checkout.
Payment plans are not available at this time, but may be offered in the future for premium services like microlocs or loc extensions.
Do you offer color services?
Yes — but only for clients who have been consistently maintaining their locs or natural hair professionally. If you’re new or haven’t been receiving regular professional care, you’ll need to complete two standard maintenance appointments before becoming eligible for any color services.
This ensures your hair and scalp are in a healthy condition to safely take color without causing unnecessary damage. Quality and care always come first.
